The One I Feed

الذي غذيته أو أطعمته



This is a story about an old man who explained to his young grandson one evening after prayers, about a battle that was going on inside himself


هذه قصة عن رجل عجوز كان يخبر حفيده الصغير ذات ليله بعد صلاة العشاء , كان يخبره عن معركة كانت تحدث في داخله


. The grandfather said, "My child, the battle inside
me is between two wolves, one of them is so evil, full of anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, hypocrisy, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.



قال العجوز : بني , المعركة التي بداخلي هي بين ذئبين . أحدهم شرير جدا , ملئ بالغضب , الحسد , الالم , الندم , البخل , الكبرياء , النفاق , حسرة الذات , إجرام , السوء , الدناءة , الكذب , العزة الكاذبة , العظمة ,وحب الذات (الأنا)


The other is so good, full of remembrance of Allah, faith, taqwaa, joy, peace, love, compassion, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, and truthfulness."1


الاخر طيب ,ملئ بذكر الله , يؤمن بالقدر , تقي , مرح , مسالم , محب , ملئ بالشفقة والامل , والصفاء , التواضع ,الطيبة , الأحسان , التعاطف
الكرم والصدق


The grandson pondered for a minute and then asked: "Grandfather, which wolf will win the battle?"1

تامل الطفل لدقيقة ثم سأل جده : " جدي ؟ أي ذئب فيهم سيكسب المعركة ؟؟؟



The granfather replied simply : The one I feed


رد الجد ببساطة : " الذي اغذيه "
