words are pronounced the same way but differ in meaning or spelling or both
 
I collect some words that pronounced the same way but differ in meaning or spelling or both , these words are called homophones.

I have included them here, perhaps they will be of use to people learning English.


أستعرض هنا بعض الكلمات التي لها نفس اللفظ لكنها
تختلف في التهجئة (تركيب الكلمة) وأيضاً في المعنى وتسمى هذه بالـ homophone


all ======> كل / جميع
Awl ======> مثقاب


allowed ======> مسموح
Aloud ======> بصوت مرتفع


ad ======> إعلان
Add ======> يضيف


Ail ======> يوجع
Ale ======> شراب مسكر

Bare ======> عاري
Bear ======> دب


Break ======> يكسر / راحة
Brake ======> يكبح / مكبح


By ======> من خلال / بواسطة
Bye ======> إلى اللقاء
Buy ======> يشتري


For ======> لـِ / لأجل
Four ======> أربعة
Fore ======> أول / أمامي


Hi ======> أهلاً
High ======> مرتفع


I ======> الضمير أنا
Eye ======> عين


Know ======> يعرف
No ======> لا


Lift ======> مصعد كهربائي
Left ======> يسار


Our ======> نحن
Hour ======> ساعة


Write ======> يكتب
Right ======> يمين / صواب
Rite ======> شعيرة / طقس


See ======> يرى
Sea ======> بحر


There ======> هناك
Their ======> ضمير ـهم / ــهن
They're ======> اختصار لـ They are


Two ======> اثنين
To ======> إلى
Too ======> أيضاً / جداً


Wait ======> ينتظر
Weight ======> وزن

Oh !! it's a nice topic and you've done it very well

O.K I want to add some words from what i have in my mind

not word vs word -----> Why & Y
Life & Live ---> حياة ، مباشر
Peace & Piece ---> سلام ، قطعة

there's more words but i have forgotten
so pardon me ..

Thanks Mjnon for replying and adding some homophones.

As you said, there are more homophones in English but the words we have mentioned are spread in our daily lives as I guess.

Be careful Mjnon, there is a difference in pronunciation between the next two words

/ Life is pronounced ====>> / LIf

but

/ Live is pronounced ====>> / LIv
